On Thursday night at the U.S. Open, the fans got exactly what they paid for with the Gaels Monfils versus John Isner match.
Isner, the American, eventually won in four sets, but that wasn't because Monfils didn't give it all he had, even early in the match with this point.
Isner was serving down 0-15 and came to the net, a place that 6-foot-10 people should camp out during their matches, and after a backhand at Monfils, the Frenchman fell down but was still able to hit a looping winner over Isner's head to the delight of the crowd.
The match had so many moments like this that you almost wish they could play every night in New York City.
