Jose Mourinho appears to vow unspeakable devastation after Man United's late equalizer

Jose Mourinho faced his old friend and mentor Louis van Gaal in Chelsea's visit to Old Trafford on Sunday. The day started off wonderfully enough for the Blues manager, who shared a warm embrace with Van Gaal before the game and watched as Didier Drogba scored another throwback goal to put Chelsea up 1-0 with Diego Costa and Loic Remy both injured.

But with the meaningful away win all but certain, referee Phil Dowd sent off Chelsea defender Branislav Ivonovic for what appeared to be a very soft second yellow deep into injury time. This set up a free kick in dangerous position with Chelsea down to 10 men. Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was able to block the first shot from Marouane Fellaini, but Robin van Persie blasted in the rebound.

Mourinho reacted to this turn of events like someone who was just invited to spend the night in a haunted house.

With that goal, the match ended in a 1-1 draw and though Mourinho made a point to walk over to Man United's bench and give Van Gaal one last embrace, it had a decidedly different vibe than the one before kick-off.

Mourinho: You know this means that I must destroy you now.

Van Gaal: You can try.

Mourinho: (screams internally)

It will come as little consolation to Mourinho, but Van Gaal has even more reason to be miserable since he has only taken 13 points from the first nine matches this season while David Moyes had 14 points at the same spot last season. There truly are no winners here.
