Sergio Ramos is a footballer because his mother was afraid of him bull fighting

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has never made a secret of his love for bull fighting. After several of his successes on the pitch, he has brought out a matador's cape and done his interpretive dance/routine. But now he says he would've likely pursued bull fighting had it not been for the concerns of his mother.

From Goal.com:

"When you're young, it is important to have dreams," he told AS.

"I always wanted to be either a bullfighter or footballer but my mother was a little scared of me becoming a bullfighter. So I opted for football which was less dangerous."

Had I not just made a Pepe reference in the Soldado post, I would mention how he proves The Ramos' statement about football being less dangerous wrong, but I wouldn't want to be accused of piling it on. Like Pepe's foot on so many Leo Messi fingers.
