With the U.S. playing for a chance to seal an unexpected place in the World Cup knockout stage and Portugal desperate to stave off elimination, their match on Sunday has drawn a lot of attention from fans and corporate opportunists alike.

Eager to seize this promotional opportunity, Samsung Mobile Arabia's verified Twitter account decided to tweet its best wishes for two stars of the company's Galaxy 11 campaign, Cristiano Ronaldo and Landon Donovan, and their teams to its 106,000 followers. The only problem, of course, is that Landon Donovan was left off of the U.S.'s World Cup squad a month ago.

Thankfully, Donovan has demonstrated an impressive sense of humor about the situation, so it's unlikely he would be terribly offended if he happened to see it. Still, that's pretty cold, Samsung Mobile Arabia.
