England's match against Algeria didn't exactly go as planned. Even though it was manager Fabio Capello's birthday and they were universally favored, England played 90 minutes of drab, confidence-deflating football and sputtered to a 0-0 result. The thousands and thousands of English fans that made the journey to South Africa for the match then rightfully booed their side off the pitch after the final whistle.
All of England put the entirety of their World Cup hopes in a giant glass safe containing several dead weights for good measure squarely on Wayne Rooney's fatigued back. So far he's failed to move that sucker enough to even allow himself a breath. So after two matches of being virtually invisible on the pitch, and then hearing the boos from his countrymen after a frustrating game, Roo shared his feelings with the nearest camera. As he stomped off, he looked square in lens and bellowed:
"It's nice to see your home fans boo ya."
His sarcasm-slathered frustration is understandable, even if his expression of it proves to be regrettable. Video of Wayne's parting shot at the unhappy England fans right this way ...
Clearly he's just upset by the visions of eating beans in a trailer and having to grow an incredibly itchy looking ginger beard.
