Puma misses chance to make Italy's World Cup kits entirely from Andrea Pirlo beard hair

Puma showed off the kits that Italy will wear during the 2014 World Cup at a press conference in Milan and, sadly, they were not made from the greatest natural resource that Italian football has at its disposal: Andrea Pirlo's beard.

This can only be seen as a wasted opportunity to give Italy a major advantage over their each and every team they face in Brazil. Not only is Andrea Pirlo's beard stronger and more breathable than any other material, but the intimidation factor of seeing an entire team kitted out in one man's beard hair cannot be overstated.

Pirlo himself came down from his fortified bunker high in the Alps to attend the presentation and he was clearly underwhelmed by the inferior garments on display.

So that's what Italy will be wearing this summer. Far more interesting, however, is the jacket Pirlo was wearing when he arrived for the press conference.

That's the smile of a human who knows that he's operating at the next level.
