Nike brings hoops to the new U.S. national team home kit

Nike has unveiled the new home kit for the U.S. men's and women's national team and it has hoops. The red and white stripes and blue collar of the shirt are an obvious nod to the American flag and are also reminiscent of the 1994 away kit. There's also a "tonal sash" across the front like the previous iteration.

With both the Where's Waldo/Wally style hoops and the sash, it's a lot for the eye to take in. But maybe the design will help distract opponents?

Also notable is the fact that both the men's and women's team kits feature the same design after complaints about the nurse vibe of the previous women's kit and the fact that the separate designs weren't offered in sizes for both male and female fans of each squad.

The men's team will wear the new kit for the first time for a friendly against Scotland on May 26, while the women will debut it against China the very next day.

In addition to the U.S. kit, Nike also released a new batch of Euro 2012 kits for Poland, France, Portugal, the Netherlands and Croatia. And here they are:
