Miralem Pjanic buys pharmacy's entire stock to help Bosnian flood victims

Over one million people in Bosnia-Herzegovina are currently suffering the effects of the worst flooding in living memory. As rivers have burst their banks and triggered landslides, more than 100,000 houses are no longer fit for use and the death toll has reached more than 40.

In a wonderfully altruistic gesture, Roma's Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic visited a pharmacy in Sarajevo on Monday evening and proceeded to buy its entire stock of medical supplies to give out to those in need.

According to the newspaper Avaz — who published the pictures of the Serie A star at the pharmacy — he emptied the shelves of drugs and helped oversee their distribution to the worst affected areas of his Balkan homeland.

The website also note that Bosnia-Herzegovina manager Safet Susic has donated money to the victims of the floods. Which is a lovely gesture, but not quite as cool as strolling into a pharmacy and buying everything.
