Man City sponsor Etihad offer sarcastic congratulations to Man United in newspaper ad

Manchester United won the Premier League title with a victory over Aston Villa on Monday. That night, they celebrated taking the title back from Man City with a night on the town that ended with several players — including Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand — getting into a blue cab completely covered in an ad for Man City shirt and stadium sponsor Etihad.

Pictures were taken of this and Etihad decided to put them to use in a newspaper ad placed in the Manchester Evening News. Under the taxi cab picture, the ad simply reads "Congratulations Manchester United. You deserve to go home in style."

And that's how you have some harmless fun with a season that didn't go your way. (While also advertising for an airline.)
