Breaking News:

Luis Suarez cries during post-match interview after Uruguay beat England

The last time we saw Luis Suarez crying on the field, his Liverpool side had just thrown away the Premier League title at Crystal Palace. The striker was in a proverbial glass case of emotion for rather different reasons in Sao Paulo, moments after his brace helped spearhead Uruguay's 2-1 victory over England.

Speaking on the field to a South American reporter, Suarez broke down in tears as the momentousness of the occasion — and his achievements — hit him.

The waterworks started when the reporter asked if he had dreamed about this moment:

Is it true that you dreamt of scoring multiple goals?

“Yes… yes.. I dreamt it and I am enjoying this moment together with my team. For all the moments I’ve lived and the criticisms we’ve received... well, there you have it.”

It was certainly an unforgettable night for the controversial 27-year-old, who apparently proved that dreams really do come true. Except if you're an England fan.
