Manchester United lost yet again, this time 2-1 at Stoke, giving David Moyes' side eight losses on the season. The defeat was especially costly since both Jonny Evans and Phil Jones were lost to injuries in the first half. It was the first time Man United lost to Stoke in a league match since 1984, adding to the list of rarities the Premier League champions have suffered since Sir Alex Ferguson retired and David Moyes took charge at the start of the season.

Sky Sports put together a handy graphic listing all of the unusual occurrences Moyes has overseen in his brief time with Man United from their first ever home loss to West Brom to the first time they've lost three matches in a row since 2001.

After this latest addition to the list, Moyes expressed his exasperation by starting his post-match interview with the words, "Well, I don't know what we have to do to win."

Most everyone expected a drop-off in Man United's form after losing Ferguson and replacing the greatest manager in the history of the game was never going to be easy for Moyes. He surely knew what he was getting into. But with injuries to so many key players contributing to his lack of success, it's hard not to feel a little bit bad for the guy. Just a little bit.
