Lionel Messi returns from two-month injury layoff, promptly scores twice in 30 minutes

Lionel Messi made his first appearance for Barcelona in their Copa del Rey match against Getafe after taking two months off to rehab a hamstring injury. He came on in the 64th minute with Barca already up 2-0 and he eased back into action by only scoring twice before the final whistle.

Messi's first goal came in the 89th minute. He finished off a brilliant run and show of control by Martin Montoya. Then, in the third minute of injury time, he showed that all his training on his own in Argentina in recent weeks has paid off with a great run of his own through four defenders (video above).

The match ended 4-0 and Messi is making it clear that he's picking up right where he left off. Now if he can just stay healthy for the rest of the season...
