Joleon Lescott added a bit more red to the England kit design

Joleon Lescott recently launched his own clothing line together with his brother Aaron and Milwall player Jordan Stewart, so he likes to think he has an eye for fashion. And during England's friendly against Belgium on Saturday, he brought his own personal touch to England's traditional white kit by adding a Jackson Pollock pattern of red to what was already there (I'm calling it now -- someone will design a kit with a fake blood pattern on it sooner or later) for a more understated version of Terry Butcher's famous design.

Though the cut near Lescott's eye was bandaged up and didn't prevent him from continuing on in the 1-0 win for England, the man he came on for in the 19th minute, Gary Cahill, wasn't so fortunate. Cahill was forced out of the match when he was shoved into goalkeeper Joe Hart, injuring his jaw. Cahill will now undergo X-rays to see if he will be added to the ever-growing list of England's wounded, which, at this point, could form a squad on its own. The Guardian's Daniel Taylor tweeted:

England injury XI (potentially): Ruddy; Walker, Cahill, Smalling, Dawson; Lampard, Barry, Rodwell, Huddlestone; Wilshere; Bent

But, limitation breeds creativity and England haven't had much luck with their first choice players anyway, so maybe this will end up being the basis for an epic tale about overcoming impossible odds. Or not.
