Ireland had to draw Richard Dunne’s number on his shirt

Ireland's scoreless draw against Russia was a tough match for Richard Dunne. He put in a fine performance -- even coming up with a goal-line clearance -- but a touchline collision left him with a gash on his face and blood on his shirt. After the match, Dunne required four metal staples to close up the wound on his cheek that opened when his head bounced off the artificial pitch/running track.
