FIFA unveils 2018 World Cup logo in space

Now that FIFA has finished squeezing all of the money it possibly could out of Brazil, it's time to start looking ahead to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. And what better way to kick off the excitement than by unveiling the tournament's logo in space? Because that's exactly what FIFA did, with help from cosmonauts at the International Space Station.

This seems to be a step toward FIFA president Sepp Blatter's dream of having a World Cup played on other planets.

“We shall wonder if one day our game is played on another planet? Why not? Then we will have not only a World Cup we will have inter-planetary competitions. Why not?” Blatter genuinely asked the FIFA congress in his address before the World Cup in Brazil.

FIFA's looming plans for intergalactic domination aside, the Russia 2018 logo looks like a ghost wearing a gas mask. But according to the official explanation of the design, it has the elements of "magic windows," "lift-off," and "fairy-tale glitter." So it basically represents doing drugs. And we only have three years and eight months left to stare at that image until the tournament begins.
