A Brazilian fan was killed by a toilet thrown from the stands after a second-division match between Santa Cruz and Parana. According to reports, supporters clashed outside the stadium after the 1-1 draw and fans still in the stands ripped toilet bowls out of the Arruda stadium's bathrooms and hurled them at the people in the street.

From the AP:

A police officer in Recife said on Saturday that the death occurred on Friday at Arruda Stadium after a match between Santa Cruz and Parana. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.

The officer said fans ripped three toilet bowls out of stadium restrooms, and threw them from the stands. He said one hit and instantly killed a fan he identified as Paulo Ricardo Gomes da Silva.

The video above shows CCTV footage of one of the toilets falling from the sky and onto a group of people before smashing on the ground.

This is the latest of several bizarre and horrific football related deaths in Brazil over the last 12 months. Last summer, a 20-year-old referee was quartered and beheaded by spectators at an amateur match, which also took place in the northeastern part of the country.
