On your first full day in Brazil for your first World Cup, the thing you don't want to do when you're trying to impress the manager is miss the bus from the hotel to the training ground. But that's what England's Ross Barkley did, angering Rio commuters as the bus waited for him in the middle of the street after it initially left without him since he was 15 minutes late for departure.
Here's video of the Ross Barkley induced traffic jam...
According to the Telegraph, the other England players gave Barkley as sarcastic round of applause once he boarded and took a seat next to captain Steven Gerrard.
The 20-year-old Everton midfielder is fighting for a spot in the starting XI and is seen by many as the creative force in attack that England need if they're going to get out of a World Cup group that also includes Italy, Uruguay and Costa Rica.
It's unknown why Barkley was late for the bus, but he probably turned off his alarm when he thought he was just hitting snooze. We've all done it.
