Werder Bremen lost 3-0 to Eintracht Frankfurt, but striker Franco Di Santo ensured that the visitors didn't get through the match unscathed. In the 26th minute, with Eintracht already up 1-0, Di Santo caught Bastian Oczipka in the face with a brutal high boot. Di Santo was shown a red card and Oczipka was able to play on, before eventually being substituted in the 85th minute.
He will probably be picking studs out of his nose for week.
This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
