Footballers might not always be fond of linesmen, but they are apparently good for at least one thing: human cushions. During Hoffenheim's 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund at the weekend, Janick Vestergaard knocked Marco Reus out of his way as the two challenged for the ball, sending Reus careening into the linesman.
With a little shove, Reus used the linesman to regain his balance, sending the official to the ground in the process. There were no hard feelings, however, which was good for Reus since he was already on a yellow from the 14th minute.
This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
