Demba Ba’s brilliant volley that knocked Man United out of the FA Cup

Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 in their FA Cup quarterfinal replay thanks to some great saves from Petr Cech and Demba Ba's 49th-minute goal. With both clubs playing on one day's rest, Juan Mata provided Ba with an exquisite long pass into the box, which Ba finished with impressive leg extension. That goal would prove to be the difference as Chelsea knocked Man United out of a domestic cup competition for the second time this season (the other being a 5-4 win in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup under then manager Roberto Di Matteo).

No matter who is temporarily serving as the club's manager or how much they underachieve in the league, Chelsea's success in the FA Cup rolls on. Next up: A date with Man City in the semifinals at Wembley.
