Dejan Lovren's daughter is not pleased with Brendan Rodgers' team selection

Brendan Rodgers opted to make wholesale changes to Liverpool's starting XI for their Champions League match at Real Madrid. This angered many fans as it gave the impression of throwing in the towel on what should have been a big night for the club, in order to keep the struggling team's players rested for an important Premier League match against Chelsea at the weekend. None were more upset than defender Dejan Lovren's one-year-old daughter Elena, though.

Lovren's wife Anita shared a picture on Instagram of her daughter watching the match at the Bernabeu with her hands up, along with the caption "Why my daddy doesn't play????" Her dad wasn't even named on the substitutes bench.

Several Liverpool fans offered unflattering answers to that question on Anita's Instagram page, but as Elena always says, "Haters gonna hate."

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, meanwhile, was a bit more pleased with Rodgers' decisions. Especially after taking a 1-0 lead against his toothless Liverpool in the 27th minute.
