Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson have a Subway sandwich making competition

Liverpool's trip to the U.S. isn't all preseason friendlies and training in sweltering heat — there's also the official club sponsor hosted sandwich making competitions. Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson stopped by a Subway shop in Boston, put on the shirt and plastic gloves of a sandwich artist and assembled their own culinary creations.

With former Red Sox pitcher Jim Corsi served as the judge/taste tester, Henderson and Sturridge created sandwiches that perfectly encapsulated their respective personalities. Henderson created a simple, chicken based sub that he himself enjoys. Sturridge, meanwhile, got creative with it, combining steak with meatballs, tomatoes and cucumbers.

You'll have to watch the video to see who wins, but Corsi does describe Sturridge's effort as "a weird combination."
