Coventry fan rants on radio station and shows why you shouldn’t leave a game early

Coventry City were aiming for a place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final with a visit to Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday, despite being 3-0 down from the semi-final first leg.

Distraught after watching a goalless performance at the Alexandra Stadium, a Cov fan named Dan left the match a few minutes early and immediately called BBC Radio Coventry & Warwickshire to vent his frustration.

After the DJ tries to catch his attention with some Alan Partridge-style repetition of his name, it becomes clear why it is never a good idea to leave a game early. Namely, you might miss a couple of goals.

The Sky Blues still failed to reach the Wembley final in the end, but the 75-mile drive home to Coventry must have felt particularly long for Dan.
