Barcelona mural passes ‘D10S’ tag from Maradona to Leo Messi

Barcelona design firm Axe Colours decided to celebrate Lionel Messi's third Ballon d'Or with a special mural. In addition to the depiction of a celebrating Leo and the three golden balls, they also decided to give the 24-year-old Barca star the "D10s" ("dios" being the Spanish word for god) tag previously associated with Maradona.

So, Messi is now god. In Barcelona, at least. Expect to see a religion similar to the Church of Maradona devoted to him soon, with Cristiano Ronaldo starting one for himself not long after that.

Before doing the Messi mural, the people at Axe had painted the same wall in a tribute to Michael Jackson, so take that for what it's worth.
