Aston Villa send personalized kit to newborn Prince of Cambridge

The birth of the Prince of Cambridge has sparked a familiar frenzy of royal intoxication and Aston Villa are relishing the chance to remind everyone that the baby's father, Prince William, supports the club. As an excuse to do this, Villa sent the newborn a personalized kit featuring a helpful reminder of his standing in society that we can only hope the boy, who is third in line to the throne, wears well into adulthood.

From Aston Villa's official website:

The Duke is a huge Villa fan and it is hoped that his new son will be brought up in the claret and blue tradition.

As a birthday present, Villa chiefs have sent the 8lbs 6oz baby a new kit with the appropriate letters 'HRH' and the number '1' on the back.

Let's hope he dribbles for Villa in the coming weeks and months ahead.

And with Darren Bent likely on his way out, there could be a spot in the squad open for the child very soon.
