Arsenal players attempt to speak with New York accents ahead of preseason visit

Arsenal will visit the U.S. for the first time in 25 years for one match only in an attempt to get retribution against the New York Red Bulls, who won the 2011 Emirates Cup at Arsenal's home ground. To prepare for the trip, the club made a few players attempt to say famous phrases in a New York accent. The results were varied.

Englishmen Carl Jenkinson and Kieran Gibbs, German Serge Gnabry, and Frenchman Matheiu Flamini all made their attempts at sounding like characters in a Scorsese film. Jenkinson probably did the best job of it, while Flamini just sounded like a Frenchman mocking New Yorkers.

The Red Bulls' Thierry Henry will welcome his former club to Harrison, New Jersey on July 26.
