    • Despite rumors that's he's unhappy in Russia (even with his record-setting wages) and looking for a move back to a more traditional European power, Samuel Eto'o has ended his goal drought with Anzhi and seems to be enjoying himself on the pitch again.

Eto'o scored twice in Anzhi's 3-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow on Saturday and after he embarrassed a couple of defenders in added time, he celebrated by running over to a group of policemen. Eto'o gave them a hug and swiped the hat off one cop's head. He then put it on his own head for a couple of seconds and gave it back before he could get tased.

    • Antonio Cassano kicks Zlatan Ibrahimovic. (Getty)

Antonio Cassano returned to Milan's starting XI after suffering a stroke and undergoing heart surgery in November and uncertainty as to whether he would ever play again. And not only did Cassano score the first goal in Milan's 4-1 win over Siena and set up two others, but he also gave Zlatan Ibrahimovic a friendly kick in the backside.

Zlatan, of course, has a well-documented history of kicking his teammates -- including Cassano --  so Cassano's kick not only shows his taste for revenge, but that his bravery is at an all time high. Although, that wicked smirk on Ibra's face doesn't look good for Cassano.

    • Down 1-0 to Udinese in the final minute of added time, Lazio brought goalkeeper Federico Marchetti forward on a last-chance corner kick. Though Marchetti swung his head at the ball, nothing came of the corner and he had to jog back to his own goal.

Moments later, an Udinese clearance was followed by what sounded like the final whistle came from the crowd. Many of the player stopped, thinking the match was over, but Udinese's Roberto Pereyra didn't. Instead, Pereyra took a shot from outside of the box after Marchetti had abandoned his net and scored to put Udinese up 2-0. As Udinese celebrated, Lazio protested and shoved a couple of the officials.

    • Leiria's sparsely populated pre-match photo. (@PedroPintoVR)

After months of unpaid wages, 16 players for Portuguese Liga club Leiria walked out on the team Friday. That left the last place club already doomed to relegation with just eight players available for Sunday's match against Feirense and since the minimum number of footballers required to play a match is seven, the game was played.

With four players on loan from other clubs (three from Benfica), the Leiria eight actually held off Feirense for 45 minutes before they finally scored a goal and went on to beat their undermanned opponents 4-0. It was a noble effort from the Leiria players, who managed to keep the club from being hit with financial penalties and disciplinary action by avoiding a forfeited match. Next week, however, whatever Leiria players are left will have to travel to the Estadio da Luz to play second-place Benfica and that could get ugly.

    • The Four Horsemen of the Rangers apocalypse (from L to R): Neil Lennon, Hector, Death and Craig Whyte. (Getty)

Celtic won the final Old Firm derby of the season 3-0 and before the match even began, things looked ominous for Rangers. With a large display featuring headstones, the phrase "Your day is coming" in a spooky font and a modified version of the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse, Celtic fans made it clear that they had no sympathy for their rival's crippling financial troubles, but they did have a bit of fun with them.

The special Four Horsemen for Rangers are (from left to right): Celtic manager Neil Lennon, Inland Revenue mascot Hector the taxman, Death and tax-evading, banned for life Rangers owner Craig Whyte. All together, that foursome seems about right.

    • Lyon captain Cris (left) holds the Coupe de France with Quevilly captain Beaugrard. (Getty)

Amateur side US Quevilly were the darlings of the Coupe de France this season, toppling Ligue 1 sides like Marseille and Rennes on their way to an improbably appearance in the final. On Saturday, Lyon (wearing their new 3D kit) put an end to the fourth-division club's giant-killing ways by winning the final 1-0.

But when it came time to lift the trophy, Lyon captain Cris called Quevilly captain Gregory Beaugrard up into the stands to raise it with him. Beaugrard looked a bit sheepish about lifting a trophy he didn't win with a team that wasn't his own, but Cris' intentions were to recognize Quevilly's impressive efforts, even if it did come off as an act of pity.

This isn't the first time the Coupe de France has had such a gesture, though. When Nantes beat amateur club Calais in the 2000 final, Nantes captain Mickael Landreau did the same thing with Calais captain Reginald Becque.

    • West Brom fans plead with Alex McLeish to stay at Aston Villa. (Getty)

As Aston Villa toil near the bottom of the table, the pressure to sack manager Alex McLeish -- a guy many Villa fans didn't want hired away from city rivals Birmingham in the first place -- has increased. But during Saturday's West Midlands derby against West Brom, McLeish got some support from the crowd in the form of a banner that read "McLeish please stay!"

Of course, it was West Brom fans holding the banner and it was obvious their intentions weren't flattering, but McLeish's Villa held West Brom to a scoreless draw. So it's clear who won in the end. No one.

    • Pep Guardiola waves goodbye. (Getty)

Citing a need to "rest and move away," Pep Guardiola has announced his decision to step down as manager of Barcelona at the end of the season. These are just a few of the things he has to look forward to during his time away from football.

      -Canasta!

-Text messages from Jose Mourinho at odd hours that always say the same thing: "miss u :("

-Realizing that getting Xavi to complete 472 passes in one match is easier than getting your kids to pass a toy store without crying and making you buy them something.

-Realizing that Lionel Messi somehow still knows when you make those trips to the toy store and feels left out when you don't buy him something Lego.

-Roman Abramovich trying to entice you to join Chelsea by dropping off increasingly massive yachts filled with gold doubloons and wigs made from the most luxurious llama fur gets old fast. Especially when the homeowners association complains that having ocean liners in the yard is in violation of several bylaws and the kid down the street with the llama fur allergy moans about how he can't walk home from school anymore.

    • Messi and Guardiola hug forever. (Getty)

After four years, three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies, Pep Guardiola has decided to step down as Barcelona manager at the end of the season and take a break from the intensive atmosphere of leading "més que un club." Though Barcelona still have four league matches and the Copa del Rey final left to play, Guardiola announced his decision at a press conference on Friday (video below), which was attended by many of his frowny-faced players.

But one notable absence was Lionel Messi -- a player who won three consecutive Ballon d'Or awards under the guidance of Guardiola and a person who doesn't like to show his emotions in public. From the AFP:

"I want to thank Pep with all my heart for everything he has given me in my professional career and personally," the 24-year-old Argentinian said on his Facebook page.

"Because of the emotions I feel I preferred not to be present at Pep's press conference and to stay away from the press because I know they will look for the pain on the players' faces.

"It is something I have decided not to show."

After Guardiola announced his decision to the squad at Barca's training session before the press conference, Messi shared a laugh and a hug with him. And though Messi will surely miss him, they will always have the special times they had together...
