You Make the Caption: Favre’s back in the Superdome!

    yahoo_favre

Well, this is probably a painful memory for Ol' Number 4, though we're sure the Saints were happy to let Brett Favre and his crew in for free. Of course, the last time Favre was in the Superdome and it was a playoff game, it was the 2009 NFC Championship game, and the Minnesota Vikings quarterback threw the late interception that killed any chances his team may have had, and allowed New Orleans to advance to the Super Bowl in a 31-28 win.

Now that he's back in the saddle (so to speak), what is the now-retired Favre thinking as he looks on earnestly? Tell us what you think in the comments.

He's always been a Saints fan, long before he played in the pros.

And he still looks good too, not the 50lbs overweight the liberal yahoo media reported earlier this season

If that was Kenny Chesney just to the right (Brett's left) that would add so much potential for captions. *I saw this as it was televised and am pretty sure it was KC.

Actually, thought of Favre at the end of the game after watching Stafford yesterday and at Lambeau against the Packers, both games killed at the end with an interception. Always exciting to watch, sometimes heartbreaking.

Favre - one rugged, tough, skilled hombre. I greatly admire his accomplishments.

I am tired of reading about the INT. The game ended in a tie, after the vikings had 5 fumbles and two missed field goals. The guy got killed in the game without one flag being thrown Bottom line people loved watching this guy play the game. Remember that game ending has now changed OT in the playoffs. Why? Because the Saints know that they didn't want number 4 to have the ball again. This change may impact the Saints when they meet the Packers in the NFC title. If Brett said he is playing people will come, why because he is a true QB.

"Wow! If it hadn't been for that one stinking interception."

I believe what he's thinking is..." #$%$ after I stayed away from the game this long I actually thought that I could FINALLY!!! watch a game in peace. Oh well guess not.

even though we have a great qb, good bad or ugly we all loved to watch the man play the game there is never a game where he is not mentioned

He is sitting there thinking "I could have completed that pass even in-spite of the 4 defenders around the receiver"

It was a FIX.. NO needed something after the tremendous disaster of Katrina.. The NFL knew a championship would provide solace. Look at the play, Brett had 5+ yards to run, get out of bounds and kick the FG, Longwell makes it from 45 in the dome.. IT WAS FIXED
    • PackerNeighbor  •  4 months ago
I really think, at least in THIS picture, he really looks like he misses being in there!! And, I know, I missed watching him this season!!

Brett Favre is a hall of famer who made a career out of throwing to guys nobody even remembers to win games.

Besides Antonio Freeman, who is not somebody the casual fan will even remember on the spot without googling, who was he throwing touchdowns to for the majority of his career? None of them would even be on the current Packers depth chart ahead of Jennings, Nelson, Jermichael Finley and Donald Driver.

And rofl @ people harping on his interception. It was a bad play, but you tell me if you'd bet on Ryan Longwell making a 50 yard field goal in the Superdome to win that game. Guy can barely clear 40 yarders regularly.

      That's what I thought.

Another horrible written article. Any intelligent writer or football fan knows the Vikings didn't lose that game because of the INT. That game still went to overtime before it was decided. AFTER the INT was thrown. Also, the penalty right before the field goal attempt had more to do with them losing than anything else. It pushed the Vikings out of field goal range. Another trash article by a joke of a journalist.
