US PresswireToronto Raptors forward Andrea Bargnani leads the team in scoring, averaging 22.3 points and 6.5 points a game. His stats took a hit Wednesday night, though, as he missed the fourth quarter in the team's loss to the Sacramento Kings with a strained left calf after scoring only 10 points.
The 4-7 Raptors need a healthy Bargnani. He will have a magnetic resonance imaging done Thursday, according to the Canadian Press, but said that the injury recalls one he had last year.
"He doesn't remember doing it," Raptors head coach Dwane Casey said, according to the Press. "It's similar to last year. It's a lot of fatigue. You see a lot of it around the league right now with fatigue, pulls and that type of thing."
The Raptors did see the return of Linas Kleiza, who has been out since last February, but the team is hoping Bargnani doesn't miss much time: "(Bargnani) is our best player," said Jose Calderon, according to the Press. "It's tough to see him go out and after they let us know that he wasn't coming out again, it was tough."
