Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng may be out for "a while" due to a left wrist injury, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The paper notes that the loss of Deng is huge to the Bulls since he is the team's best defender and an excellent all-around player.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau noted Monday that Deng is getting "multiple opinions" from various doctors to figure out his course of action and wasn't sure if Deng would need surgery: "Ah, I don't know. I don't think so, would be my guess,'' Thibodeau said, according to the Sun-Times. "There are people he wants to talk to. He's gone down this road with an injured wrist before. My guess would be it will be day-to-day."
Deng, the 26-year-old native of the Sudan who was picked seventh overall in the 2004 draft, is averaging 15.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.l
