San Antonio Spurs shooting guard Manu Ginobili was feeling Sunday that the injury he suffered Saturday wasn't as bad as he originally feared. But now the fella who missed 22 games to start the season has a little more info and knows that he'll be out for two weeks, according to the San Antonio Express News. Joining him on the injury list for that same amount of time, the paper notes, is Tiago Splitter.
An MRI Monday showed Ginobili has a left internal oblique strain while backup center Splitter has a right calf strain, the paper reports.
"I felt something, and when I went to shoot the free throws, I felt something strange, a little pop," Splitter said, according to the Express-News. "They say it's small, not a big deal. That's the good news."
One thing going for the Spurs, who sit atop the Southwest Division and are in second place behind the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference, is that the whole league will be taking a five-day break for All-Star weekend so that minimizes the number of games missed.
