US PresswireDefenseman Pavel Kubina has been in the league since 1997 and has played for three different organizations: the Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs and Atlanta Thrashers. So he's been around long enough to know what he likes in a hockey team.

Traded on Saturday to the Philadelphia Flyers, the soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Kubina is already saying that he'd like to stick around there for a while, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

"If I play well for this team and they want me, I don't want to go anywhere and test the water," Kubina said, the paper reports. "That is the way I am and hopefully, it will go that way."

The 6-4, 250-pound native of Czechoslovakia, has scored three goals and tallied eight assists this season.
