Jason Kidd ready to help coach Team USA

US PresswireVeteran Dallas Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd has won two Olympic gold medals with the U.S. national team.

However, Kidd wasn't invited to try out for this summer's Games in London. But that's not stopping the 38-year-old from wanting to be involved with the program.

"I talked with Coach K [Mike Krzyzewski] about maybe getting into the coaching end of it," Kidd said Wednesday, according to the Dallas Morning News. "I want to stay connected with them in some form."

The 10-time All-Star Kidd, the second overall pick back in 1994 out of California, is averaging 4.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.

I have a feeling Kidd could be an amazing Coach. Hopefully after his playing career he will stick around and do some coaching. I have a feeling this might be his last year :-/
