The NBA All-Star Game take place Feb. 26 in Orlando this year and Orlando Magic Dwight Howard, who has made no secret of his wish to be traded, doesn't think his team will unload him before then, if at all, according to Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears.
"I don't think they are going to do anything right now because we're winning," Howard told Spears after helping his team take down the Sacramento Kings 104-97 Sunday. "Even if this is the last season, let's go out hard, regardless."
The 26-year-old three-time NBA defensive player of the year can be a free agent this summer, but the Magic brass is still hoping to convince him to stay in Orlando, according to Spears.
Howard, who is averaging 18.6 points. 14.6 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game for the 6-3 Magic, went on to say that he doesn't even think the team will trade him before the March 15 deadline, Spears notes.
If the five-time All-Star decides to not become a free agent this summer, he is set to make $19.3 million.
