Broncos WR Eric Decker missing Patriots game

When Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker, the team's leading receiver, went down in the second quarter Sunday in the team's incredible victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, it looked like it was a nasty injury to his ACL and he was done for any playoff run that the Broncs miraculously pull off.

The Denver Post reports, however, that the knee injury "was not as severe as it initially appeared," but he won't be ready to return when the team takes on the New England Patriots on Saturday night.

Decker, who ended up with a sprained medial collateral ligament, was hit low by linebacker James Harrison, who has gotten lots of flak and fines for hits in the head area.

The 24-year-old Decker, who was drafted in the third round last year out of Minnesota, gained 612 yards and scored eight touchdowns this season for Denver.
