Walsh and May-Treanor cruise to win 103
The Ring Debacle of 2008 seems to have not affected Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor, as they easily overcame the Cuban team, 21-15, 21-16. The match only took 36 minutes. May-Treanor and Walsh's wins have come so easy that you may need some other things to pay attention to during their matches. A few ideas for you:
- Try to figure out the pattern for the music played during the games. (Hint: there is no pattern.) I heard everything from Kylie Minogue to Europe to Peter, Bjorn and John.
- Count how many times the camera pans to Misty May's father.
- Count how many times the announcers mention that both women are married to professional athletes.
The win over Cuba was the pair's 103rd win and their next match is Wednesday (Thursday morning in China) against Norway.
