What's buzzing:

Nick Friedell

USA Basketball and Marvin Gaye give the Anthem some soul

Fourth-Place Medal

This is one of the coolest commercials I have ever seen.

If I were Coach K, I would show this clip to my players before each game over in Beijing. I got goosebumps as I listened to Marvin Gaye's stirring rendition from the 1983 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles. Everybody has a difference of opinion on how they like the National Anthem to be performed, but I think Gaye's version is one of the best renditions of all time.

My man Skeets over at Ball Don't Lie showcased this YouTube gem on Friday; I'm just surprised I haven't seen it on the air more. My brother said he's already seen it today, but I have yet to see it on the air once. If I were Nike I would be running this ad constantly, but I guess they've already got a few good ones to work with. The person who is in charge of putting these commercials together for the shoe giant deserves a raise.
