U.S. takes silver in women's volleyball

It has been amazing to watch both the American volleyball teams play. After the attack on men's coach Hugh McCutcheon's family, both the men's and women's team were devastated. Still, they focused, won several five-game matches, and made it to the gold-medal game. The women are walking away with silver because Brazil was just too good in the end.

The Brazilians, coming into the Olympics ranked first in the world, had so many weapons. Fabiana Claudio and Walewska Oliviera tied for four kills, and Marianne Steinbrecher had 14 spikes. They won in four sets, 25-15, 18-25, 25-13 and 25-21, holding off every American surge.

The American women have no reason to hang their head. They definitely overachieved and are bringing home the first U.S. silver since 1984. The men take on Brazil tonight for the gold.
