    No Opening Ceremony for Brunei

When I read the headline that said Brunei was expelled from the Opening Ceremony, I assumed that their delegation was being and drunk and disorderly. Maybe their events weren't until late next week, they had a few cocktails before the ceremony started, and they got a little raucous. It happens.

Unfortunately, it was a lack of paperwork that kept swimmer Maria Grace Koh and shot putter Mohammed Yazid Yatimi Yusof out of the Opening Ceremony. Their national organization failed to register the delegation, so the two-man team was kept out. It must be really difficult to complete the paperwork for two whole athletes. The Sultain of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, did attend. Apparently, the expulsion only extended to athletes, and not sultans.

Join the Fourth-Place Medal crew as we search in vain for the Brunei delegation during tonight's live blog starting at 7:28 ET.
