It takes a lot to make it to the Olympics: hard work, determination, talent. And when you do make it there, you need something more.
Trying to make the Olympic Village feel like home, Weir brought along his blanket, his favorite fabric softener, and a picture of the pop superstar that will be "watching over us, protecting us." Because according to Weir, "if you have a giant Lady Gaga picture, anywhere can work." That's what I'm always telling people.
Weir is sharing a room with ice dancer Tanith Belbin, and he calls the singer "our icon." Comparing Weir's and Gaga's outfits, that's pretty obvious. Furthermore, Weir has been known to perform to Lady Gaga's masterpiece "Poker Face."
Upon his arrival in Vancouver, Weir was happy to get his hands on the Team USA Ralph Lauren gear, telling the Associated Press that the fitted white pants are "very slimming and [suck] in everything you don't want the world to see." Considering his adoration for Gaga, you'd think Weir would choose to go pantsless. Let's not give him any ideas.
