Winston Watts of Jamaica is trying to locate his team's gear.

Well, this is problematic: the Jamaican bobsled team, one of the more heralded squads at this year's Sochi Olympics, has missed its first practice because its gear hasn't yet arrived in Russia.

According to driver Winston Watts, the team's luggage, including the runners for its four-man sled, is still somewhere in transit. While the team hopes the luggage will arrive soon, it could be forced to borrow runners, the strips that are in contact with the track, from other bobsled teams.

"We didn't have nothing — no equipment at all," Watts told USA Today while watching the Sochi airport baggage carousel. "There's nothing I can do right now. I'm just going to leave it to the chef de mission to deal with it. I just want to concentrate on the track."

Jamaica's bobsled team hasn't competed in the Olympics since 2002. The team reached Sochi thanks to $80,000 in donations from around the world.

The bobsled events aren't scheduled to begin until Sunday, Feb. 16.
