Unusually warm temperatures have created an unexpected issue for many competitors in the Sochi Games. While cross-country skiers were competing in stripped-down sleeveless attire and struggling with the unforeseen heat wave Thursday morning, the weather was certainly quite pleasant for spectators.
Some fans even went so far as to remove his shirt while watching the women’s 10K event, which gave us these fantastic photos from the AP's Jae C. Hong.
Sweden’s Charlotte Kalla, who went on to win the silver medal, is working her way up the mountain while the shirtless man casually looks on through his sunglasses. The shirtless man, while striking a similar pose and holding his cell phone, also watched Russia’s Julia Ivanova working hard. Ivanova eventually finished in 17th place.
He wasn’t the only one to get a little overly-comfortable at the cross-country skiing event Thursday. Getty's Les Baron found this man also taking advantage of the weather to work on his tan.
Maybe Sochi can send some of the warm weather back to the US, because I know I'm not the only one getting sick of this snow.
