While the United States slept, things were busy on the other side of the globe. Here is our recap of everything Olympics you may have missed overnight.
*Dara Howell continued Canada's reign at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park, scoring the gold medal in women's slopestyle skiing. Devin Logan of the U.S. took silver. Canadian Kim Lamarre won bronze.

*The International Olympic Committee reinstated India, meaning that its flag will now fly at the Sochi Games. The country's three Olympians were introduced at the opening ceremony without their nation's flag because the Indian Olympic Association was suspended two years ago for electing what the IOC deemed "tainted officials."
*Canadian women’s freestyle skier Yuki Tsubota was carried off the slopestyle course after suffering what looked like a serious injury.
*The Russian women’s curling team edged past the United States 9–6 in round-robin play.
*NBC’s Bob Costas now has two pink eyes. He still covered the Olympics and took a shot of Russian vodka, though.
*Snowboarding slopestyle gold medalist Jamie Anderson shared the cutest fan letter:
