Weirdest goal of the year? Watch Alexander Wennberg score with puck hidden in hockey pants (VIDEO)

We've featured a variety of creative and interesting ways to score goals in hockey, but Alexander Wennberg of Djurgarden has found the latest and greatest.

During his team's 6-2 win over Leksand on Sunday in the second-tier Swedish league HockeyAllsvenskan, Wennberg -- en route to a hat trick -- scored his second goal of the night by crashing the net and unknowingly hiding the puck in his pants after it was quickly turned aside by goaltender Erik Hanses:

A video review held up, and the goal scored by his pants counted.

The way the puck dropped, the position of his body when it did ... if it's not the weirdest goal of 2012, it might be the most scatological.

Afterward, Wennberg admitted he enjoyed a nice bit of luck. But later in the game Wennberg's teammate, and current Nashville Predators goaltending property, Chet Pickard, found himself on the other end of the luck spectrum.

Here is Johan Ryno's long-range deflection goal on Pickard:

Johan Ryno might never be more fortunate in his career ... unless he decided to start carrying the puck in his pants.
