The Boston Bruins were back in action on Saturday afternoon, making up a postponed game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Bruins wore Massachusetts State Police, city of Boston Police and Watertown Police hats during warm-up, according to Joe Haggerty. Via the NESN, here’s Andrew Ference.

When suspected Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was captured on Friday evening, it set off a citywide celebration that had citizens lining the streets to chant “U.S.A.!” and thank law enforcement officers in impromptu parades.

The celebration spread down to Providence too, where the Boston Bruins’ AHL affiliate the Providence Bruins were taking on the Springfield Falcons.

Quite a moment.

Here’s the view from the crowd:

St. Louis Blues fans also cheered loudly when the capture was announced, during their game with the Dallas Stars.
