Watch Blues vs. Blackhawks in 6-round, 7-goal shootout battle (Video)

The St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks went to the skills competition on Thursday night, and it was a dandy: Six rounds, seven goals and an electric atmosphere at United Center for this division rivalry:

Can every shootout be held in Chicago? Because that crowd was nuts.

Goals by Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa … and yet the Blackhawks still fell, 4-3, on a Kevin Shattenkirk goal.

From the Chicago Daily Herald and Chicago goalie Corey Crawford:

"I just didn't feel that great on the shootout," Hawks goalie Corey Crawford said. "It was a weird game. I think we controlled most of it. The positive thing is we were able to bounce back and get a point out of it."

Indeed. While the Blues picked up a critical two.
