Video: NHL's 'No Words' Stanley Cup ad

The success of the NHL's playoff commercials is no secret. The "History Will Be Made" ads that feature such iconic moments like Bobby Orr's Stanley Cup-winning goal in 1970, Mario Lemieux's North Stars defense-splitting goal in 1991 and Steve Yzerman's Game 7 overtime winner against the St. Louis Blues in 1996 were so popular that tens of thousands of spin-offs were created by fans since the campaign began last month.

With Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals two days away, the NHL once again partnered with advertising firm Y&R, creator of the HWBM and Winter Classic commercials, for the latest spot showcasing how the emotion of winning hockey's ultimate prize leaves player's speechless when it comes to expressing their happiness. The "No Words" ad will debut on Saturday during NBC's broadcast of Game 1 of the final between the Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers. Featured in the spot are Bill Guerin(notes), Chris Osgood(notes), Ray Bourque, Brett Hull, Mark Messier, Glen Wesley(notes), Darren McCarty(notes), Teemu Selanne(notes), and ends with Bill Ranford at a loss for words:

I think we can all agree that no NHL commercial will ever beat "Cup Raise", but "No Words" is another strong effort in depicting just how special the Stanley Cup is.
