Team Toews wins NHL Shootout competition (Video)

COLUMBUS, Ohio – If the NHL All-Star Game on Sunday goes to a shootout, it looks like Team Toews would prevail. In the shootout portion of the skills competition Saturday, Team Toews took down Team Foligno 15-10. But alas, it wasn’t good enough to beat the all-encompassing skillz of Team Foligno 25-19 overall.

There were some interesting goal moments and big saves – Rick Nash’s changeup goal on Roberto Luongo elicited a few boos from the crowd toward the former Blue Jacket. Ultimately Luongo made the save of the night on Montreal rookie Jiri Sekac.

“That’s what happens when you get out of position … so you go into desperation mode,’’ said Luongo. “It’s relaxing even though we play a game we love we get to enjoy it at different levels. It’s nice to go back have fun out there and goof around.’’

Luuuuuuu

Anyhoo...
