Sean Avery makes his ‘Dancing With The Stars’ debut; how’d he do?

Avery

Sean Avery is on “Dancing With The Stars” this season and, well, he looked like a hockey player competing on a dancing competition show.

Avery and partner Karina Smirnoff competed in the “contemporary” dance category, and Avery looked somewhat “jagged” in his moves and forgot the cardinal rule of “DWTS” which is to smile as widely and goofily as possible. He looked so sullen, we half expected he was dancing with Gary Bettman.

Here’s Avery’s debut performance to the tune of Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know”, which we assume is about the Vogue commissary.

The duo earned a 20 out of 30 for their performance.

Wetpaint said: “Sean, dressed in all black, is better than we might have expected. There are some awkward moments, but other times he is very, very fluid. There could be some potential there. He needs to work on being more expressive.”

Said Katrina to InStyle: “Sean wanted a full skirt on me, so we came up with the skirt that appealed to Sean’s eye.”

No word what their followup might be. It would be a shame if another couple picked the song they wanted and they were left with slop … uh, a song they preferred slightly less.
