• Ian Walker with a great read today on Rick Rypien talking about how he'd fought depression for the past 10 years: "The time frame coincides with an incident that has left then-general manager and current team president Brent Parker questioning himself. Rypien's girlfriend died in a car accident coming to see him play during his second year." [Vancouver Sun]

• The Toronto Star had a story on Rypien that included a misquote from Vancouver Canucks GM Mike Gillis calling him "crazy". The Star issued an apology on Wednesday, but the Canucks are not happy. [Globe & Mail]
